So this tribe absolutely does not look active... but on the off chance that anyone knows the answer to this I thought I'd give it a shot...
Does anyone know where to get UV reactive batik dyes? There is a seller on ebay who sells clothes that they dye with UV dyes, but all I can get out of them is that it comes from Germany.. I have not been able to get a company name or a website or anything, and all my google searches have been useless.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Re: UV reactive dye
Mon, March 24, 2008 - 12:15 AMHi Emily...we're not active, but I like to think we're responsive, anyway! The absolute best place to get answers to dyeing questions is Paula Burch's Web site. She's addressed this question a few times in recent years. Her site is www.pburch.net, but here's a direct link to a question about flourescents: www.pburch.net/dyeing/dye...E214239287/ .
Of course, with batik, you'll want a cold-water (probably a Procion or MX type) dye, and they're tough to come by in fluorescents. What kind of clothing is the eBay seller making...are they batik? Post a link or the seller ID if you get a chance, I'm curious... -

Here's a link to the ebay store... from the item descriptions, it sounds like they are using an actual Batik method... they won't tell me the name or company of the dye they use, only that its from Germany.
